Description
The Shri Damodar Temple is one of the most beautiful and famous architectural constructions in Goa. It stands on the bank of Kushavati River near the Zambaulim Village. The temple is dedicated to Lord Damodar, an incarnation of Lord shiva. The deity was originally located in Margao, it was moved to a new location to avoid religious persecution as hands of the Portuguese in the year 1665.
Temple is located 22 kms forM Margao and 54 kms from Panjim. The main festival celebrated here is Shigmo known as Zambaulim gulls.
